- The < 15% rule
- Spirits with ABVs below 15% should be refrigerated. If left out, an open bottle of Aperol may spoil, but it will last about three months in the fridge.
- Sweeten the deal
- Syrups like the one in this drink can be made fairly easily at home. After dissolving a 1:1 (or 2:1) ratio of sugar and water on the stove, try infusing the syrup with your favorite herbs or fruit.
- Hurry up & chill
- Before you prepare the drink, fill your glass with ice and water and put it in the freezer. When the drink is ready, your chilled glass will be, too.
