Working alongside the Maker’s Mark distillery team, the Tastemakers translated the state’s scale, creative energy, and culinary traditions into a wood-finished bourbon that is unmistakably Maker’s Mark, yet undeniably Texas.
Bright citrus brings vibrancy, toasted pecan adds warmth and richness, and dried tobacco lends depth and a subtly smoky character. The result is a layered expression shaped by Texans, for Texas.

MEET THE TASTEMAKERS OF TEXAS
MARIELL GUZMAN
Mariell Guzman is a Texas-based multidisciplinary artist whose work spans murals, painting, illustration, sculpture and immersive installation. Born in Mexico and raised in Texas, she creates with vivid color, natural forms and layered patterns influenced by her heritage and experiences across both places. Her expressive approach to identity, landscape and belonging helped bring the scale, energy and cultural richness of Texas into the collective taste vision.

TRAVIS WEAVER
Texas-born entrepreneur Travis Weaver is the founder of Houston’s Manready Mercantile, a maker-driven retail concept he began by hand-pouring candles in his apartment. His work spans product design, small-batch goods, retail and Texas barbecue through BBQ RUBDOWN. Grounded in craftsmanship, quality and a deep respect for where things come from, Travis brought an unmistakably Texas maker’s perspective to the selection.

VERONICA UME-EZEOKE
Veronica Ume-Ezeoke is a Dallas-based culinary creative and the founder and co-CEO of CNTRD Juice. Drawing on her Korean heritage, her husband’s Nigerian traditions and a background spanning healthcare, marketing and entrepreneurship, Veronica approaches food as a powerful form of storytelling. Her thoughtful balance of bold flavor, wellness and cultural connection brought a distinctly modern perspective to the Texas taste vision.
