Start by making sure you’ve got a 750ml bottle of classic Maker’s Mark. Our personalized labels are designed specifically for that size and shape.

When choosing your bottle, take a quick look at the wax dip. Some bottles have a deeper drip that may overlap with the existing label. For the cleanest application, we recommend using a bottle where the wax stops above the label space.

Before applying your label, make sure the bottle is clean and dry.

If you’d like to remove the original front label, soak the bottle in warm water for about 20 minutes to loosen the adhesive. Once the corners start to curl, gently peel it away. Adhesive remover, a soft cloth, and a little elbow grease can help eliminate any leftover residue.

Prefer to keep the original label underneath? 

That works, too. Your personalized label is designed to fit neatly over it – just be sure the surface is smooth, dry, and free of dust or oils.

Our labels are thick, high-quality, and very adhesive – so, once it’s stuck, it’s stuck. Take a moment to plan your placement (and catch your breath!) before peeling off the backing.

We recommend starting at the center. Align the middle of your label with the raised SIV emblem near the top of the bottle’s front. This helps keep things symmetrical and centered. 

Once you’re lined up, press from the center outward, smoothing gently toward the edges to avoid wrinkles or air bubbles. Press firmly with your fingers to make sure the adhesive bonds fully.
