Maker's Mark® 101
High Proof
Bourbon

It’s everything you love about Maker’s Mark with a whole lot more to love. Our founder himself, Bill Samuels, Sr., was the first fan of this high proof bourbon. Bill liked to tuck a little 101 aside for friends and special occasions.

Gold Rush

This Whisky Sour riff replaces simple syrup with honey syrup, also known as “liquid honey”, to add a new richness and depth to the original. Honey syrup adds sweet depth to bright, fresh citrus and the bold, bourbon flavors of Maker’s Mark. The Gold Rush cocktail takes no time to make, but you won’t want to rush through sipping this honeyed riff on the Whisky Sour.

Bourbon Bloody Mary

Layered with bold flavors, this daytime sipper brings heat, umami, tangy tomato and the sweet, full flavor of Maker's Mark.  While there are countless wild stories – ranging from Queens to movie stars – about where the name "Bloody Mary" comes from, we favor bourbon over vodka in ours. Spicy and savory, this satisfying riff on the Bloody Mary features a feast of ingredients that gives this cocktail well-rounded flavor with a bold Maker's boost.

New York Sour

Don’t let the name fool you! The New York Sour may sound like an East Coast classic, but its roots likely trace back to Chicago. Over time, it’s picked up more than a few nicknames — Continental Sour, Claret Snap, even Southern Whisky Sour — all hinting at its ability to charm just about anyone, anywhere. With a bold bourbon base and a dramatic float of red wine, the New York Sour is as eye-catching as it is delicious, and it’s easier to make than it looks.

A glass of whiskey cocktail with ice, garnished with a lemon peel and cherry, sits on a table. A whiskey bottle, bowl of lemon slices, and a golden shaker are in the background. The setting conveys a warm, elegant mood.
